Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about processing files securely in your browser

How do I resize a PDF to A4, Letter, or A3?

Upload your PDF and select your desired page size from the preset dropdown (such as A4, Letter, A3, or Legal). If you need a custom size, choose "Custom Size..." and enter the width and height in millimeters, centimeters, inches, or points. Once configured, click "Resize and Download PDF".

What is the difference between Fit, Stretch, and Center fitting modes?

Fit & Scale (Proportional) resizes the page content to fit the target dimensions while keeping its original aspect ratio, adding white margins if the ratios differ. Stretch to Fill stretches the content to match the target dimensions exactly, which may distort the layout. Keep Original (Center) leaves the content size unchanged and centers it, creating borders around it or clipping it if the new page size is smaller.

Can I resize only specific pages of the PDF?

Yes. In the application settings, you can choose to apply the resizing to "All Pages" or select "Custom Range..." to specify page numbers and ranges (e.g., 1, 3-5, 8). Pages outside this range will be kept in their original size.

Does resizing affect the text quality or images in my PDF?

No. The tool uses vector translation via pdf-lib to scale or position the pages. It does not rasterize the document, so all text, vector graphics, and embedded images maintain their original clarity and resolution.

Are my documents secure when I resize them?

Yes, absolutely. The entire resizing process is executed locally in your web browser via client-side JavaScript. No files are uploaded to any server, ensuring total confidentiality and offline privacy.
